Green Mountain Behavior Consulting, Inc. was established in 2014 with the vision of providing high quality, family friendly, and child-centered behavior analytic services to support children, youth and adults with disabilities in the schools and in the community. Many talented professionals, experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), have since joined Green Mountain Behavior Consulting, sharing in this vision to use the latest research, and evidence based practices of ABA, to improve the lives of children, youth, and families and help train school staff and create better support systems in the public schools. In 2015, Green Mountain Behavior Consulting expanded this vision to include an early intervention program for young children with autism, as research shows that early intervention leads to the best possible outcomes for young children in the spectrum.
With changes in the Vermont legislation and insurance , it is now possible for families to receive Applied Behavioral Services and Early Intervention through their private insurance, or through Medicaid. Seeds of Change is designed to bill private insurance and Medicaid in order to provide the needed treatment and ABA therapy to young children with an autism spectrum diagnosis. Seeds of Change is a center for children to receive these early intervention therapies, and for families to receive training and support. Seeds of Change's mission is to help prepare children with autism (and their families) to gain necessary communication and social skills by creating a supportive and nurturing preschool-like experience, while teaching children and parents new skills using ABA based strategies and supports .
